The Mission

LifeGene was founded on the principle that a DNA test should be as common as a blood test even though your DNA results are much more beneficial.

We believe that each person is unique because they have a genetic digital that allows us to interact and react to stimuli and the environment in which we live in different ways. So it happens also within medicine. Although, for the most part, everyone receives the same treatments to cure specific diseases, such as a headache for example, we know that what works for one, does not solve for the other. That's because we're genetically different.

Therefore, our focus is on personalized medicine, is to enable you to know your DNA and, from your genetic profile, allow your treatment or medical decision to be specific to you, avoiding adverse medical situations, such as some side effects or inefficiency of the drug.

Our goal is to offer high-quality genetic testing and make them more economically accessible so that you have access to increasingly individualized medicine based on scientific evidence.

The Lab

We process all samples at our clinical-grade, state-of-the-art, College of Pathologists (CAP) and Clinical Laboratory Improvements Amendment (CLIA) accredited laboratory, and do not outsource any aspect of our testing.

We employ the best team of leading Bioinformatics, Genetic and Molecular Biologists, Nutritionists, Physicians, AI Scientists, and Technicians who operate our clinical-grade, high-complexity, College of Pathologists (CAP) and Clinical Laboratory Improvements Amendment (CLIA) accredited laboratory.

This state-of-the-art facility has the capability of performing any type of molecular test including next-generation sequencing (NGS), genotyping, epigenetic-methylation, and RT-PCR/dPCR for viral identification.

The Team

Our board of more than 40 scientists, nutritionists, dieticians, physicians, and other medical consultants from leading institutions such as Harvard, Stanford, and Yale spent two years reviewing more than 35,000 clinical studies on how genetic markers can impact human health.

Reviewing OmeCare Nutrition’s methodology, they reported on and rated various phenotypes (characteristics that result from how your genotype interacts with your environment) with scientific strength scores. We use these phenotypes to guide testing reports and wellness recommendations.

All our tests are conducted with the highest scientific standards and all our healthcare and genetic data is stored in a HIPAA compliant cloud, and on designated servers with filesystem-level and client-server encryption to guarantee the maximum level of security.
